Encouragement for Student Research Projects

Berlin University Alliance is funding research projects conducted by students and junior researchers. The Student Research Opportunities Programx (StuROPx) of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) is making it easier for students to participate in research early on in their studies. Students in the four partner institutions - Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin - can either initiate their own research tutorials, known as "X-Tutorials," or participate in student research groups led by junior researchers. Applications for the 2022 summer semester are being accepted until November 28, 2021. Students can apply for the X-Tutorials with their own project idea. This program is one of the few formats that enable students to pursue their own research topics early in their studies. Students from all four partner institutions may participate in the funded courses, creating a versatile learning and research environment that transcends disciplines and institutions.
