Child Maltreatment and Well-being from an International Perspective
International Conference on March 21 and 22, 2019, at Freie Universität Berlin. No 009/2019 from Jan 11, 2019 An international conference to be held March 21 and 22, 2019, at Freie Universität Berlin will address cross-national issues and current research findings on child welfare and well-being. Entitled "Child maltreatment and well-being - challenges across borders, research and practices," the conference is being organized by members of the Social Pedagogy Division at the Department of Education and Psychology, Freie Universität. Healthy growth and well-being of children and adolescents as well as the protection of children and young people from different forms of violence are discussed worldwide as being important social issues. This meeting is the second part of a conference series aimed at facilitating cross-border exchange between experts on child protection and the well-being of children. The first conference took place in July 2017 at the University of Rijeka in Croatia.
