Freie Universität Berlin Receives Total E-Quality Award

Recipient of Award Seventh Time in a Row. No 152/2020 from Sep 04, 2020 For the seventh time in a row, Freie Universität Berlin was granted a Total E-Quality Award for its exemplary commitment to promoting equality between women and men. The selection panel noted that the university does outstanding work to promote equality in all areas of activity. The award is presented for three years by the Total E-Quality e.V. nonprofit organization, an initiative promoting equal opportunities between women and men. The selection panel emphasized that Freie Universität's commitment to equal opportunities is fully integrated in the university's self-image and organizational culture and is firmly anchored in the university's structure. The university devotes substantial resources to this work. Furthermore, Freie Universität actively functions as a role model for other universities by setting impulses for promoting equality in city-wide and nationwide networks. The Margherita von Brentano Center for Gender Studies was highlighted as a central interface and the Open Gender Platform as a starting point for all German-language gender research.
