Image: Jan-Peter Kasper (University of Jena) - International Students Information Day at the University of Jena on 3 May For many foreign students, studying at Friedrich Schiller University Jena offers a valuable experience of living abroad, while Jena students set off from here to spend time studying elsewhere in the world. With the "Jena Outgoing & Incoming Students Information Day" (JOIN In!) on 3 May, the University of Jena wishes to give a helping hand to future students from other countries as well as their fellow students here. For this virtual information day, the University's International Office and Master Service Centre have put together a varied programme. University ambassadors. "There are currently more than 2600 students from other countries studying at the University of Jena and they open up 2600 windows on the world, give us new impetus and act as important ambassadors for our University when they return home," says Dr Andrea Stiebritz, Head of the Division for Student Affairs at Jena University. "At the same time, we offer the international students a varied range of courses, an exciting environment for learning and research, and valuable intercultural experiences." To support this enriching partnership for all concerned, and especially to tempt more international students to come to Thuringia once the pandemic is over, the University of Jena has prepared a wide range of information and advice for the JOIN In! event.
