F(r)ictions of Art

Final Conference of "InterArt" International Research Training Group at Freie Universität Berlin from June 25 to 27, 2015. The relationship between fiction and friction is the focus of a conference being held by the "InterArt" International Research Training Group from June 25 to 27 at Freie Universität Berlin. The involved researchers will examine the productivity of moments of friction for artistic processes as well as for the emergence of certain fictions about art. They will review central research topics and questions of the past work of the research training group and also take up new perspectives. The conference will include scholars from Freie Universität and its two partner institutions, the Copenhagen Doctoral School in Cultural Studies and the Graduate School at Goldsmiths, University of London. With this final meeting the InterArt Research Training Group will complete its work, after nine successful years. The meeting is open to the public, and admission is free.
