The sixth World Conference of the International Federation for Public History (IFPH) will see around 300 participants discuss new methods of conveying history at museums and historical sites; historical and political controversies between democracy and authoritarianism; and postcolonial perspectives on cultures of remembrance. The conference will open on August 16, 2022, at the asisi Panorama DIE MAUER near Checkpoint Charlie, with a speech from Verena Blechinger-Talcott, Executive Vice President of Freie Universität Berlin. The event will be held in English and is open to the public. Prior registration and a participation fee are required. One event that will take place during the IFPH is a panel discussion on the television series "Babylon Berlin." This will be held at 7:00 p.m.
