For Human Rights and Freedom of Speech

Exhibition in the University Library in Cooperation with Amnesty International from July 6 to August 31, 2017. ' 174/2017 from Jun 28, 2017 An exhibition in the University Library of Freie Universität from July 6 to August 31, 2017, will depict various aspects related to defending human rights. It will feature a selection of organizations and individuals from several countries who are committed to the defense of human rights and to providing support for persecuted and vulnerable individuals. Sometimes these organizations and supporting individuals are put under pressure themselves. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the human rights organization Amnesty International, Group 1581, in the district of Berlin-Brandenburg. It is open to the public, and admission is free. According to an Amnesty International report from May 2017, 281 people worldwide were killed in 2016 while working to support human rights.
