Facilitating International Collaboration at Universities
Freie Universität Berlin hosts English-language event to promote intercultural skills on November 11 at 2:00 p.m. The question of how to better facilitate international collaboration within the higher education sector will be the focus of an upcoming event at Freie Universität Berlin. The event will be held as part of the Erasmus+ project TICKET (Transnational International Competence through Knowledge Exchange and Training). The TICKET project aims to provide university members with holistic skills in intercultural competence that will allow them to enhance internationalization and improve social-educational delivery across the higher education sector. The event, "Facilitating International Collaboration," will take place on November 11 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. Those interested in attending are requested to register online in advance at: https://ssl2.cms.fu-berlin.de/fu-berlin/en/international/faculty-staff/mobility-staff/staff-week/TICKET-Multiplier-Event/PM-Registration-Form-Multiplier-Event/index.html. Attendees can also register at the event itself on November 11. In "Facilitating International Collaboration," Randall Reinhard from the University of Edinburgh will present the TICKET project, its outputs, and the TICKET handbook for policy makers. In an online discussion with American researcher Dr. Darla Deardorff, who has worked as a trainer and author in the field of intercultural education for twenty years and who will also be participating in the event, Reinhard will examine the current challenges presented by internationalization and more diversity in teaching and the workplace.
