Public Lecture Series of International Research Training Group »InterArt« at Freie Universität Berlin during 2015 Summer Semester. A public lecture series being held during the 2015 summer semester is devoted to the art of protest. The series is part of the Open Lecture series at Freie Universität Berlin and deals with the new aesthetics of protest and the associated political forms. In their presentations the participants will address the mutual influence between art and politics that occurs in global protest movements. The series was designed by Dr. Sarah Dornhof and Dr. Frauke Surmann at the international Research Training Group "InterArt." The events are public, and admission is free. No advance sign-up required. Frauke Surmann from the InterArt Research Training Group explains that in protest movements of the present and recent past, there is a new connection between art and politics.
