DFG’s most important award for researchers in early career stages
Junior Professor Dr. Vera Traub from the Institute for Discrete Mathematics at the University of Bonn has been awarded the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) along with nine other researchers. The prize is endowed with 200,000 euros.
According to the DFG, the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize is considered the most important award in Germany for researchers in the start-up phase of their careers. The prize money has been increased from 20,000 to 200,000 euros for the first time. It can be used for up to three years for further research work.
