A research network led by the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research, the Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen (DZNE), and the University of Tübingen is now investigating how nerve cells age and become susceptible to neurodegenerative diseases, utilizing human brain tissue cultures.
