Legal Scholar from Freie Universität Berlin Honored in Ghent

Legal scholar Ignacio Czeguhn will receive the 2017 George Sarton Medal from Ghent University on November 23. With this award he is being recognized for his contributions to the history of the European Supreme Court and comparative legal history. The medal will be presented by the chairperson of the Sarton Committee, Professor Dr. Robert Rubens. As part of the award ceremony, Professor Czeguhn will give a lecture on the history and legal development of the German colonial societies. The lecture will appear in the annually published journal Sartoniana.
