The University of Bonn is cordially inviting all graduates to the Universitätsfest 2026! The event is being held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at KUNST!RASEN on the Rheinaue park lawn for the first time. Prior registration is obligatory and open from noon on March 16, 2026 to May 31, 2026.
The Universitätsfest is a special event for graduates to come together and celebrate the successful completion of their studies with family and friends. In addition to presentations held on stage, a diverse program will be organized all’around the event area, where guests will get the opportunity to buy merchandise, enjoy culinary delights and participate in hands-on activities. Another important item on the event agenda is the handing out of the highly decorative presentation certificates. A true highlight of the celebrations and a symbol for successful completion of studies is the traditional tossing of hats.
Due to the pending construction and renovation work at the University Main Building, the Universitätsfest will take place at KUNST!RASEN for the first time. The festival grounds boast some outstanding infrastructure for this large-scale event with several thousand guests, where the graduates of the University of Excellence will be in the spotlight instead of international pop stars.
