In Munich, at the heart of BMW beats. At the Olympic Park are the main plant, the BMW Welt, the BMW Museum and the corporate headquarters, the BMW four-cylinder. The exhibition pavilion at Lenbachplatz, the BMW dealer and the BMW Group Research and Innovation Centre (FIZ) complete the Munich site. The infrastructure of the plant, which has developed in parallel with the urban residential area in the immediate vicinity, is reflected in complex business structures and innovative manufacturing processes. The smooth interaction of all production technologies and supporting areas in a confined space among the world’s masterpieces in the automotive industry. In conjunction with the Research and Innovation Centre (FIZ), the BMW Group plant in Munich serves as an internal competence center: From here, the knowledge of processes and technologies, and the experience of over 90 years arrives to other production sites.
