International Office informs about studying and living in Münster

The University of Münster welcomes 281 international exchange students for the new winter semester. The International Office held a hybrid welcome event to inform students who are already in Münster as well as those who are still in their home countries about studying and living in Münster. In the coming days, further events will take place to get to know the University and the city. The majority of students take part in the Erasmus exchange program of the European Union - the students come from Spain, Italy or France. However, so-called "incomings" from non-European countries, such as Benin, Australia, Taiwan, Chile or the USA, also study at the University of Münster for one or two semesters. Until lectures start in October, most of them attend an intensive language course at the Language Center.

In addition to the exchange students, 191 international students will start at Münster University in the winter semester who want to do their full Bachelor's, Master's or state examination studies. The number of these "degree seeking" students is expected to increase as enrolment is still possible. For these newcomers, there will also be various information and orientation offers - for example, a city rally - in addition to a welcome event. Some of them are still in their home country and have to wait for their visa, which is why there is also a digital information event. In addition, as part of the "Buddy Program," more than 280 students from Münster support all international students, especially in getting to know the university and the city.
