It is ranked 13th among the best universities in the European Union and 76th among the top universities in the world. In a global comparison, Bonn thus improved by eight places compared to the previous year. In the European Union, the university of excellence moved up five places. The University of Bonn was again able to improve its ranking in the "Shanghai Ranking".
