Universität Hamburg Offers Interdisciplinary, Sustainability-Oriented, Academic Programs

From Winter Semester 2023/2024 all students in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at Universität Hamburg have the opportunity to earn a certificate in the field of sustainability. The certificate program aims to bring students from a range of disciplines together and provide them with a holistic perspective on sustainability that goes beyond any specific subject.

-Many students would like to have more interdisciplinary, sustainability-oriented academic programs. That is why we are very happy about the introduction of the sustainability certificate program at Universität Hamburg. The stronger focus on the subject of sustainability in the field of teaching is also an important milestone on the path to a sustainable University,- explains Laura Edinger-Schons, Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) at Universität Hamburg. The Sustainability Office is there to provide support to students and teaching staff with any
