TUM again rated Germany’s best university

In the prestigious "QS World University Rankings", the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has risen to the 50th position and is thus ranked as Germany’s best university for the sixth time in a row. In Europe, it is among the four best technical universities.

To compile its rankings, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a British specialist in the analysis of higher education institutions, conducts surveys in science and business on the quality of universities. In addition, QS assesses the citation frequency of publications, the faculty/student ratio and the proportions of international students and staff.

In the latest issue , TUM has moved up five places to number 50 and is again the best-ranked German university. The top positions in the rankings are held by US universities. In Europe, TUM is one of the only four technical universities in the top 50 along with ETH Zurich, Imperial College London and EPF Lausanne.

TUM also regularly achieves very good results in other international rankings. For example, it ranks sixth in the world in the "Global University Employability Ranking" , in which companies rate the quality of graduates.
