Now it’s lighter, stronger, faster: The students on the WARR Hyperloop team of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) unveiled their new capsule on Tuesday, July 18. The group will enter the new pod in the second SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition in Hawthorne (CA) at the end of August. The students intend to once again set a new speed record there.
SpaceX founder Elon Musk launched the "Hyperloop Pod Competition" in 2015. The Hyperloop is a concept for a high-speed train which moves at close to the speed of sound in a tube containing a partial vacuum.
