The festive event on 28 June is open to all members, friends, supporters and alumni of Heidelberg University
The Ruperto Carola Summer Party is a relaxed get-together for the whole university and all those connected to it. For the first time in her term as Rector, Frauke Melchior is inviting members, friends, supporters and alumni of Heidelberg University to come and enjoy themselves together in the heart of the old city. With "UNIted" as the motto on 28 June 2024, the historical Marstall quadrangle will be the venue for a swinging summer evening with conversations, dancing and music. The Summer Party starts at 6 p.m.
"Standing together is more important than ever at present in these politically tense and worrying times," Frauke Melchior underlines, and she invites people to bring their children, relatives and friends to the Ruperto Carola Summer Party as well. Apart from the various activities and performances on the programme, the Teddy Fonda Combo is bound to fill the dance floor with its engaging live music, and the University Choir with conductor Michael Sekulla will also take part again. The Heidelberg Student Services Organisation (Studierendenwerk) will treat visitors to food and beverages.
