Rediscover the Uniseum
- EN - DE
Visitors to the Uniseum can enjoy the exhibition using audio guides or their own smart phone starting now. At the Uniseum Freiburg - the museum of the University of Freiburg - there's a great deal to see and discover. Whether it's about the eventful coexistence of the university and the city of Freiburg, or the question of why professors in the 19th Century rejected wearing academic robes, or talars, or the leading role the University of Freiburg played in allowing women to study.. all that and much more can now be experienced acoustically by using an audio guide or a smart phone. Curator Sandra Haas says, "During recent months we've written texts and had audio professionally produced for 20 selected listening stations." The listening stations are distributed throughout the entire Uniseum and each one is about a minute-and-a-half long. They can be called up in either German or English. Haas emphasizes, "I'm really pleased that we're able to provide the audio recordings in English as well because it's an especially attractive offering for international visitors." The Uniseum as a World of University Experience - What is more, in addition to the digital guides, students and doctoral candidates will continue to give tours of the Uniseum Freiburg exhibitions free-of-charge.
