Rectorate welcomes Korean students
For the first time, the Rectorate of the University of Bonn invited Korean students to a lunchtime reception at the Rectorate. Host Rector Dr. h.c. Michael Hoch and Vice-Rector for International Affairs Birgit Ulrike Münch welcomed a total of 65 Korean students to the Rectorate building in the Dechenstraße. Consul General Seungjae Huh also came to Bonn for the get-together and welcomed his compatriots. The Secretary General of the German Academic Exchange Service, Dr. Kai Sicks, and Frithjof A. Maennel from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research also took part in the event. In addition to a Korean lunch meal provided by the Consul General, there was also K-pop music and plenty of opportunities for good conversation. The reception is the start of a new series of events in which the Rector would like to bring together various international student groups to exchange ideas.
