Award for Most Cited Article in the Academy of Management Review over the Past Ten Years

Management researchers at Freie Universität Berlin and European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) received the AMR Decade Award. The article "Organizational Path Dependence: Opening the Black Box" by Jörg Sydow and Georg Schreyögg from Freie Universität and Jochen Koch from European University Viadrina has been cited more than 1450 times since it was published in 2009. The award is presented annually by the Academy of Management Review (AMR), which is published in the U.S. and recognizes the most frequently cited contributions. The award was presented at this year’s Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Boston. It is the first time that the award went to a team of authors from a German university.
