Public Screening of 1959 Film Pickpocket

An Event Co-organized by the Institut Français and the Freie Unverisität's Frankreich-Zentrum on June 19 at 7 p.m. No 162/2019 from Jun 06, 2019 On June 19, the Institut Français and the Freie Universität Berlin's Frankreich-Zentrum will present the French feature film Pickpocket by Robert Bresson in the French original. The film tells the story of a young intellectual with a growing obsession with pickpocketing. The film theorist Dr. Sulgi Lie from the University of Basel will introduce the film. Marika Green, the film's female lead, will be present for a discussion following the screening. The event is free and open to the public.
