Opening times during the holiday break

Libraries Those who need to study during the break can use the SUB Central Library and the Learning and Study building (LSG). Both will be open from 27 to 30 December 2021 and on 2 January 2022 from 10:00 to 20:00 every day. The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) will be open from 13:00 to 16:00 on these days. Departmental libraries will be closed from 24 December 2021 to 2 January 2022 inclusive.

SUB: LSG: Office of student affairs All services of the Office of Student Affairs will be unavailable between 23 December 2021 and 3 January 2022.

University Sports University Sports courses will not run from 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022. If you want to stay fit between Christmas goose and New Year’s cake, you can find suggestions in their online services. RoxX and Fiz have changed opening hours during this time. Cafeterias Refectories and cafeterias will be closed during the Christmas break from Monday 20 December 2021 to Sunday 9 January 2022.

IT hotline Staff who have to work during the shutdown will not be able to use the IT Department’s Service Desk during this period. The Service Desk will not be staffed from 12:00 noon on Thursday 23 December 2021 until 07:00 on Monday 3 January 2022.

Retail/Supermarkets Please note that retail outlets and supermarkets will normally close at 14:00 on Friday 24 December 2021 for a long weekend. This also applies to the weekly market, which will take place on Friday as an exception (24 December 2021). Similarly, on Friday 31 December 2021. Only petrol stations, some bakeries and emergency pharmacies will be open during the on 25. and 26 December as well as on 1 January.
