Online expert discussion "Five years since the teacher training reforms - a provisional assessment"

The reform of the teacher training system began in the winter semester 2015/16. The study programs with state examinations were replaced by the teaching-oriented bachelor's and later master's degree programs. In an online expert discussion held on December 3, 2020, a panel of experts gave a provisional assessment together with Baden-Württemberg's Minister for Science, Research and the Arts Theresia Bauer. "The new teaching degree program in this state works. Five years after they were introduced, the bachelor's and master's degree programs in teacher training have proven their worth", said the Minister for Science, Research and the Arts Theresia Bauer. "We're still working on the content objectives of the reform, to give teachers of the future the best possible preparation for a school of diversity and for the digital world. I am also convinced that we need to focus more on the teacher's personality as part of the study program.
