International Summer and Winter University FUBiS at Freie Universität Berlin Starts New Year with 145 Participants

To kick off the International Summer and Winter University FUBiS in 2020, Freie Universität Berlin welcomed 145 students from 14 countries to Berlin on Saturday, January 4, 2020. In the first 3-week FUBiS term of the new year, the students can enroll in several of 12 academic classes in German as a foreign language and other subjects such as history. Most of the students this term are from South Korea, the United States, and Australia. The term will run through January 24. Besides German language courses for all language levels, FUBiS offers various courses on European politics, history, philosophy, and other topics that are taught in English. For all the FUBiS courses, Freie Universität Berlin awards credits according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) system. The academic program includes cultural activities and excursions.
