The rise of populist parties in some countries has been posing challenges for international politics. International treaties and organizations, and in some cases, even the idea of international law are being called into question. In this fifth discussion of the Joint Speaker Series of Freie Universität and Indiana University, Heike Krieger and David Bosco will discuss the points of criticism of populist politicians regarding international agreements and institutions, as well as possible consequences for international law.

The Joint Speaker Series of Indiana University and Freie Universität Berlin was designed to promote joint research and scholarly exchange as well as to initiate public debates.
