This year the European Physical Society (EPS) distinguishes three professors from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with internationally recognized awards: Prof. Peter Peter Böni and Prof. Christian Pfleiderer receive the prize of the EPS Condensed Matter Division while Prof. Reinhard Kienberger receives the prize in the Quantum Electronics and Optics Division. The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) awarded Prof. Wolfgang A. Wall the Prandtl Medal.
