The Confucius Institute at Freie Universität Berlin is holding an exhibition of Chinese artists in Berlin. Selected works by Berlin-based artists such as Songwen Sun-von Berg, Wang Lan, Wu Yimeng, Yuan Lili, and Chen Ning will be shown. The individual profiles of the artists, their unique aesthetic perspectives, and their typical artistic techniques and approaches will all be showcased. The exhibition will open on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with the artists present. Those interested in the event do not have to register beforehand. Visitors are welcome to visit the exhibition at the Confucius Institute from July 4-28, 2022, during its regular opening hours.
The exhibited works, which vary in medium - ranging from painting and ink painting, to calligraphy and book art, through to illustration and graphic design - are striking in their artistic expression and open up creative and philosophical horizons between eastern and western artistic and cultural traditions. In doing so, the exhibition serves to highlight the multifaceted Chinese art scene in Berlin, while providing visitors with fascinating insights into the diversity of the artists and their subjects.
Please note that we strongly recommend wearing an FFP2 mask within enclosed spaces at the Confucius Institute.
