Göttingen University’s draft proposals not approved - only MBExC can submit a full proposal
It is an early departure from the Excellence Strategy for the University of Göttingen and its partners at the Göttingen Campus: in the "Clusters of Excellence" competition, the expert panel of the German Research Foundation and the German Council of Science and Humanities (
Wissenschaftsrat) did not invite any of Göttingen University’s five draft proposals for new clusters of excellence to submit a full proposal. The committee had to make decisions on a total of 143 draft proposals, only some of which made it to the next round.
