A conference to be held June 27 and 28, 2019, at Freie Universität Berlin will focus on opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurial diversity in the digital age. As part of the event, a public lecture series entitled Diversity Talks will be held on June 27 with the aim of creating a platform for exchange among researchers, practitioners, and students. The presentations will be given in English. Registration is required by June 24 via the website mi3.lambdalogic.de/u­nihamburg-online/hidiversity.do. There is a fee for attending the lectures, but for students attendance is free. Entitled Hello Diversity, the conference is being organized by the economist and co-founder of the Digital Entrepreneurship Hub Dr. Janina Sundermeier at Freie Universität Berlin.

In a series of lectures on June 27, researchers and company founders will give presentations dealing with demographic diversity, functional diversity, and deep-level diversity. The speakers will include Natalya Nepomnyashcha (Netzwerk Chancen), Uta Menges (IBM Diversity & Inclusion Leader), Lea Böhm (AllesRoger), Professor Helle Neergaard (Arhus University), and Dr. Timo Lorenz (Medical School Berlin). Following the presentations, there will be a panel discussion.

Researchers will also have an opportunity to participate in a workshop on June 28, where topics from the lecture series will be discussed in interdisciplinary teams. The editors of a special issue of the International Journal of Business Venturing entitled Concepts and Facets of Entrepreneurial Diversity, Kerstin Ettl and Silke Tegtmeier, will be available for consultation.

The Digital Entrepreneurship Hub of Freie Universität bundles start-up research and teaching as well as start-up activities of various departments. It also promotes cooperation with companies.
