SwissCore in Brussels acts as a bridge between the Swiss and European knowledge landscapes and supports the Swiss participation in the research, innovation, and education programmes of the European Union. We are the liaison office for Swiss and European stakeholders in the mentioned fields. SwissCore informally represents the Swiss knowledge community towards European institutions and Brussels-based interest groups. The office is co-funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency. European Advisor for Research (Brussels) - Maternity Cover (80-100%)

Your Tasks

  • Act as a bridge between Swiss and European research stakeholders, policies and programmes
  • Provide high-quality and targeted information on EU research policies and programmes
  • Support Swiss participation in European research programmes and actively cooperate with the Swiss stakeholders with a focus on Horizon Europe
  • Promote Swiss research stakeholders at European level
  • Represent Swiss research stakeholders in official bodies, meetings and events

Requirements

  • University degree (MA or equivalent); several years working experience in a relevant field in the public or private sector
  • Familiar with the Swiss research landscape and knowledge of the European research policies and programmes
  • Confident, winning and resilient personality, great interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent analytical, investigative and writing skills, very good organisational and good IT skills
  • Proficiency in English, German and French B2 level
