The Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology is the country’s first department at a university of applied sciences dedicated to computer science. We are seeking someone to join our research team with immediate effect or by mutual
agreement:
PhD Candidate Distributed Information Systems in eHealth 70%
Your Tasks
Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of distributed information System, mainly within the eHealth domain
Research, design and develop a solution concept for the storage, search and controlled share of information about physical and digital health-related assets and processes
Co-supervising student projects and bachelor/master’s assignments/theses
Interacting and collaborating with research partners in the project and business partners across Switzerland and internationally
Communicating research results to a range of audiences, including industrial partners and the scientific community (publications in journals and conferences)
Cooperate in the acquisition of national and international research projects related to the theme across and helping in conducting them
Requirements
Master’s degree in Computer Science with very good marks (obtained or close to be obtained)
Deep knowledge and interest in advancing applications of distributed information systems to solve practical problems, mainly within the eHealth domain
Experiences in designing, implementing, and demonstrating innovative ideas for distributed information systems, also in cooperation with selected industries
Knowledge and interest of application of ZKP/privacy-preserving approach in distributed information systems
Basic knowledge about tokenomics and dual usage tokens (Two-Token Economy) theory, or willingness to acquire it
Willingness to advance the state of the art and to communicate it at high-profile scientific venues (conference and journals)
Ability to work effectively alone but also in a collaborative team environment
Interest in exploring possible usage of blockchain technologies as distributed information system solutions, and willingness to become acquainted with Ethereum, smart-contracts (Solidity) and front-end/network oriented applications frameworks
