The Schools of Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and Life Sciences at EPFL invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor to hold the Lonza Chair in Sustainable Biosynthesis as part of a joint position within the Institutes of Chemical Sciences and Engineering (ISIC) and of Bioengineering (IBI). | |
RequirementsAreas of interest include, but are not limited to, the development of green chemistry methods, in particular by the rational design of synthetic biology pathways, via metabolic engineering and/or by the establishment of in silico and artificial intelligence approaches. Applications of interest include engineered, novel biological systems designed for the development of novel environment - friendly and/or high - throughput chemical synthesis tools, pharmaceutical compounds and biologics.
Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. | |
