Profile of the professorship
Your research in sports science will focus on the social-psychological or the educational-psychological dimension of sport for adolescents, which fundamentally link up with empirical research into school sports.
You will continue to develop this focus with a view to (international) visibility, participating in research networks and collaborations within and outside of TU Dortmund University, especially the "Dortmunder Zentrum für Schulsportforschung". You will also be committed to promoting early career researchers. In teaching, you will be responsible for all aspects of Sports Psychology, particularly in the teacher education programs, and will be expected to participate appropriately in the department’s teaching activities.

Your qualifications
You will have obtained a doctorate with above-average success and have acquired a post-doctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or an equivalent qualification.
You will have demonstrated your research excellence in the field covered by the professorship through national and international publications in recognized peer-reviewed venues.
You will have experience in successfully obtaining third-party funding. Beyond this, for the W3 professorship, candidates are expected to have a continuous international publication record at a high level in venues with peer review and to have been highly visible internationally, especially in the last five years.
Furthermore, candidates for the W3 professorship will have independently acquired research projects in competitive selection procedures.
All candidates will also have experience in teaching Sports Psychology. Social and leadership skills and the willingness to participate in academic self-administration will complete your profile.
Moreover, the recruitment requirements in Sections 36 and 37 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Higher Education Act (Gesetz über die Hochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, HG) apply.
