Full-stack Developer for Smart Medical Systems

Your mission

As a full-stack developer, you will be tasked with pushing several of CSEM’s technologies forward, related to the cloud-based IoT systems for medical applications, whether it be in their design, implementation or continued support.

Your responsibilities

You are therefore a forward-thinker able to come up with ideas and propositions as well as implementing them as a part of the team. You will also collaborate on multidisciplinary industrial and research projects (linked with the company’s activity fields) and participate in their acquisition. Your main task will be further optimizing the continuous integration and deployment processes. You will also be asked to manage and bring continuous improvements to the company’s ERP system.

Place of work will be mostly Bern and occasionally Neuchâtel.

Know-how

You are very quality orientated working to industry standards with close attention to testing, certifications, and professional preparation for interaction with manufacturers and suppliers. You will be expected to find solutions to problems: tasks go much further than straightforward code implementation for given projects. You will be asked to present ideas and will have the opportunity to implement them. We require:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science
• Knowledge of and proper experience managing UNIX-based systems
• Knowledge of both front-end and back-end languages (TypeScript, Python and PHP are musts)
• Hands on experience using Docker.

To be successful in this function, you have:

• Proven experience with TyepScript, applied to front-end as well back-end, preferably experience with React (including React Hooks)
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug browsers, to consume, design, and implement RESTful APIs
• Experience in modern development methodologies (Lean or Agile), as well as with databases (MySQL / MariaDB, MongoDB, InfluxDB)
• Ideally some knowledge of Machine learning and some of their frameworks (Tensorflow and PyTorch)
• Thorough DevOps experience and Infrastructure as Code
• Hands on experience using Kerberos and with any cloud provider (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Sense of design for UI/UX
• Considerations for quality, security, and repeatability
• Ability to deliver on required specifications while complying with technical/non-technical constraints and to improve documentation and thorough testing.
