    Job description:
  • Preparation and implementation of lectures in the field of pyrometallurgy - Scientific supervision and technical guidance of the pyrometallurgy working group (PhD candidates, diploma students and students) - Independent acquisition, scientific processing and supervision of research projects incl.
  • Supervision of pyrometallurgical test series and scientific evaluation of results
  • Presentation of research results at project meetings/specialist conferences; preparation of scientific peer-reviewed journal publications

    What we expect from you:
  • A university diploma or master’s degree in the fields of non-ferrous metallurgy, chemistry or process engineering with close reference to pyrometallurgy of non-ferrous metals as well as the corresponding high-temperature refining processes - Preference will be given to applicants (m/f/d) who can already demonstrate a successfully completed doctorate in one of the fields mentioned and who have relevant professional experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of non-ferrous metallurgy as well as pyrometallurgy; advanced chemical and thermodynamic knowledge of high-temperature processes - Knowledge in the field of thermal pretreatment of raw materials is also desirable, as well as the motivation to familiarize oneself in depth with the above-mentioned areas.
  • Personal commitment, ability to work both independently and as a member of the team
  • Fluent English language skills (verbal and written); Willigness to pursue further scientific qualification (doctorate or habilitation)
