The Lucerne School of Art & Design offers study programs that are unique in Switzerland and positions itself in design and art research with focuses in design, art and film. It is one of the six schools of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which more than 1,700 employees and around 10,900 students.

At the interface of teaching, research and curriculum development, we are looking for a new team member for the Bachelor’s Programme Design Management, International (DMI) as of 1 April 2021 or by agreement:

Research Associate (40%)

Your Tasks

  • Assist the Head with the coordination of DMI programme’s general administrative activities and processes as well as with the coordination of teaching activities
  • Coordinate the organization of events and lectures
  • Conceptual collaboration on projects such as developing engagement strategy with alumni and external organizations
  • Engage in research activities in the context of curriculum development and higher education
  • Preparation and updates of internal communication and collaboration platforms
  • Ensure the communication between students, instructors, and other stakeholders
  • In collaboration with the DMI team, support the students with the organization and planning of their studies.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in the field of Design Management
  • Knowledge of the Swiss higher education landscape
  • Knowledge of Design Management
  • Experience in coordinating activities and handling projects
  • Good social and intercultural communication skills and sensitivity to interact effectively with other units, international staff and students: administration, teaching and research, employees, instructors, students
  • Excellent oral and written language skills in English (Level C1). Official working language in the DMI programme is English
  • Working experience of minimum 3 years in a comparable position recommended
