W1 Junior Professorship (Tenure-Track W2) for Climate Dynamics
is to be filled at the earliest possible date.
The future job holder should be a personality with . A special focus of the teaching and research activities will be on atmospheric climate monitoring. It is expected that the professorship will build up an internationally visible research team and actively participate in the conception and implementation of research projects in the field of interdisciplinary Earth system research with the Section Meteorology, the other sections of the Institute (Geophysics, Geochemistry/Petrology, Palaeontology and Geology), the Geoverbund ABC/J as well as the other . Contributions to the transdisciplinary research areas of the University of Bonn are expected focusing on the simulation and . Teaching is an integral part of the professorship. Being able to instruct in German and English, the .Sc. course "Meteorology and .Sc. course "Physics of Earth and Atmosphere" and contribute to the further . An active participation in the academic self-administration is mandatory. Didactic skills are expected. Junior professors are appointed for a period of three years; an extension for a further three years is .
