Description

Industrial Automation technician (BE-ICS-AC-2019-90-LD)

Company Description

At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern.

Job Description

Introduction

Are you an electrical, automation or industrial computing technician? Are you interested in state of the art personnel protection and safety systems? Come help design, operate and maintain high-grade personnel safety systems with the CERN Access Control team. Participate in the maintenance and evolution of CERN’s Access Control Personnel Protection System and other safety interlock systems in CERN’s international and industrial environment. CERN, take part!

The Access Control Section, within the Industrial Controls and Safety systems Group, is responsible for the deployment and support of access control systems at CERN. This activity covers all systems controlling the access to the many different CERN sites, buildings and to the zones where dangers, primarily of radiological nature, exist.
