Could you manage a team of scientists undertaking development, maintenance and validation activities across the Clouds and Aerosols competence area?

Beschreibung

We are seeking an experienced remote sensing expert to lead and coordinate our team of enthusiastic scientists, all experts in their own disciplines within a competence area, covering cloud and lightning detection, cloud physico-optical properties, cloud analysis and other atmospheric products derived from visible and infrared imagery.

You will manage the Clouds and Aerosols Competence Area and its resources, including the development of the scientific knowledge, focussing on EUMETSAT’s next generation satellite systems Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) and EPS-Second Generation (EPS-SG) and the Copernicus missions. In this role you will have the chance to interact with user communities, analysing their feedback on current products and potential new requirements. You will also support the Satellite Application Facilities (SAFs) involved in the extraction of clouds and aerosols products.
