The Department of Biology of the Faculty of Sciences subject to the approval of the Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst, Baden-Württemberg seeks to fill a position of a

Full Professor of Systems Toxicology (salary category W3)

at the earliest possible date.

We seek applicants who are internationally recognized for their research achievements relating to systems toxicology (as defined in Chem. Res. Toxicol. 30, 870). Specialists from the fields of toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics are equally welcome. The ideal candidate will have experience both in the generation of high-dimensional data sets and in extraction of human health-relevant information from such data.

Successful candidates will expand the strengths of the Department of Biology via integration into the current cooperative research programs (e.g. SFB 969 "Chemical and Biological Principles of Cellular Proteostasis, GSC 218 "Konstanz Research School Chemical Biology) or the interdisciplinary Cluster of Excellence initiatives "ChemLife: Molecules in Functional Systems" or "Collective Behaviour" (for details on the work environment and research culture, see /). Furthermore, candidates are expected to teach in the areas of toxicology and disease biology at bachelor and master level.

The Department of Biology offers state-of-the-art core facilities for proteomics, bio-imaging, flow cytometry, electron microscopy, and high-throughput screening (for details see: https://www.biologie.uni.kn/en/research/facilities/). An animal research unit and highend technology for computing and data visualization is available at the University.
