with a focus on inclusive educational and socialisation processes

The position is offered with the earliest possible starting date for a period of six years . 3 and 4 HHG (Hessian Higher Education Act). According to § 64 Para. 3 HHG, the applicant should have gained a doctoral degree at an institution of higher education other than Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) or have been in academic employment at an institution other than JLU for at least two years after conferral of a doctoral degree.

In collaboration with the other professors in the Institute for Special Education and Inclusive Education, the successful applicant will be responsible for teaching and training in the educational sciences degree programmes, in particular for the programme "Lehramt an Förderschulen" ("Teaching in Special Needs Schools") and the Master’s degree programme "Inklusive Pädagogik und Elementarbildung" ("Inclusive Paedagogy and Basic Education"). The applicant must contribute to empirical research on teaching and education as a component of his/her focus and must empirically investigate questions on the subject of equal participation for all in education and training.
Equally desirable is the development of topics in the field of digital . A willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration and networking between teaching and research, as well as cooperation with schools in the region, are required attributes for the position.
