Werner Lang, TUM Professor of Energy Efficient and Sustainable Design and Building, is the new TUM Vice President Sustainable Transformation. Architect Werner Lang has been a full professor at TUM since 2010. Before that he taught at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, where he headed the Center for Sustainable Development. In addition to his activities as researcher and TUM university instructor, Prof. Lang is also Director of the Oskar von Miller Forum and is the winner of the 2022 TUM Sustainability Award. TUM President Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann said: "The TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy will make our university an exemplary catalyst for the sustainable transformation of society, integrating scientific progress, economic constancy, ecological boundaries and social justice in the transformation process.
