From March 21 to 23, the 29th "Days of Mathematics and Science Education" will take place at the TU Ilmenau - the largest conference in Thuringia for the further development of mathematics and science education. This year’s focus: "iM INTernet - The school in a digital world". The approximately 250 participating teachers who teach the so-called STEM subjects mathematics, computer science, natural science and technology can expect 58 workshops and lectures as well as numerous presentation stands with contemporary impulses for the continuous development of their teaching. The event will take place partly on site at TU Ilmenau and partly online.
With the "Days of Mathematics and Science Education", the Thuringian Institute for Teacher Training, Curriculum Development and Media (ThILLM) has been providing sustainable training for teachers, educators and special education specialists in the MINT subject group (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology) of all school types from enrollment to high school graduation in Thuringia for 29 years.
With the conference, the Thuringian Institute for Teacher Training, Curriculum Development and Media, together with the TU Ilmenau and with the support of the Association for the Promotion of STEM Education, would also like to contribute to making students more aware of the exciting developments in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology through suitable didactic-methodical approaches. The TU Ilmenau itself is hosting five lectures, workshops and guided tours, thus making a significant contribution to the exchange between schools and science.
