Conference on June 4, 2016, at Freie Universität Berlin / Invitation

The future prospects for Syrian refugees in Europe will be addressed at a conference on June 4, 2016, at Freie Universität. The participants will discuss the opportunities and conditions for studying at German universities and for entry into professional life. Against this background, different language and funding projects for refugees and organizations in Germany will be presented and discussed. Another emphasis will be on social projects for the integration and promotion of exchanges between Europeans and Syrians. The presentation language is English. Journalists are welcome to attend.
"With this conference we wish to create a platform for constructive exchange among businesses, educational institutions, and Syrian exile communities," says Maya Alkateb-Chami, the director of the NGO Jusoor, which organized the conference. Jusoor was founded by exiled Syrians with the aim of promoting the development of their homeland through education.
The conference is being supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Freie Universität Berlin.
