Hendrik Weber (l.) and Raimar Wulkenhaar from the Mathematics Münster Cluster of Excellence aim to find new approaches to solving research problems through using a combination of mathematical methods. Excellent research is not possible without interdisciplinary working. But, even within one discipline, collaborations crossing the barriers between research areas can lead to new approaches and findings. Mathematics is an example of this.
