Your TasksThe position focuses on "Sex-specific influence of neuropeptide systems on top-down control of fear behaviour in mice".
Within the projects we use state-of-the-art techniques (e. g. ex vivo electrophysiology combinded with optogenetics and/or transgene mouse models, animal behaviour combined with in vivo chemogenetics) to investigate the influence of neuropeptidergic systems on fear- and anxiety-related neuronal circuits and behaviour. The position includes mandatory teaching of medical students in Physiology. | |
RequirementsWe are seeking a talented and highly motivated scientist with a PhD and research experience in electrophysiology and neurobiology, neurophysiology or rodent behaviour. Experience in stereotactic surgery would be beneficial.
