    You can contact us via our contact form.

  2. For which companies/institutions is myScience the right job board?

    For research institutions and universities, for companies active in research and development and administrations related to research and higher education.

  3. How can I create an account with myScience?

    Click on login (at the top centre of the page) and then on register. Then enter your details: Your email address, a username and a password. Please note that your password must contain at least 8 letters and numbers. Then click on "register". Immediately after registering, you will receive a message with further information.

  4. I have forgotten my password.

    Click on login (at the top centre of the page), then on password forgotten. Enter your email address. You will immediately receive a link to your new password. For security reasons, it is important that you personalise your new password.

  5. I forgot which email address I registered with.

    Contact us via our contact form with your full name / company name. We will send you the email address you registered with.

  6. I forgot if I have created an account in the past.

    Contact us via our contact form with your full name / company name. We will check if you already have an account and email you your login details.

  7. What is the difference between a Premium Advert and a Standard Advert?

    Premium Advert
    • Duration of publication: 50 days.
    • The job offer is placed and managed online for you.

      Standard Advert
    • Duration of publication: 50 days.
    • You can put the job offer online and manage it yourself.

  8. How can I buy a Standard Advert?


    • Create an account at myscience under login/register.
    • Log in.
    • Click on my job offers in the menu on the right.
    • Click on the button "order".
    • Choose between "Standard job offer" and "offer for doctorate/postdoc".
    • Select the quantity and the payment method.

  9. How can I buy / place a Premium Advert?


    • In the menu, click on job portal/employers: publish a job offer.
    • Click on the button "Premium Advert" under "select a product".
    • Fill in the form "send a job offer".
    • Click on "choose file" at the bottom of the form and add your job advertisement (PDF, ODT, Word, Text...).
    • As soon as we have placed the job offer online, a confirmation will be sent to you.
 


    • Within four weeks you will receive an invoice from us.

  10. How can I place a Standard Advert?


    • Create an account at myscience under login/register.
    • Log in.
    • Click on my job offers in the menu on the right.
    • Click on the "New" button (green plus sign).
    • Enter the details of your job offer in the form.

  11. How long will it take for my job offer to be online?


    • Your Standard Advert will appear online immediately after you enter it. However, you can also set the publication date yourself.
    • We will put your Premium Advert online for you within 24 hours. However, you can also set the publication date yourself.

  12. what should I do if my Premium Advert is not online after 24 hours?

    Contact us via the contact form. We have probably not received your order.

  13. what should I do if I have not received a confirmation of receipt?

    Contact us via the contact form. Probably we have not received your email.

  14. I haven’t received an invoice yet, what can I do?

    We usually send you your invoice by the middle of the following month. If you have not received an invoice by then, please contact us.

  15. Do I get a quantity discount for buying multiple job offers?


    • We offer quantity discounts for the purchase of more than one job offer. You can find the discounts under: jobportal/publish a job offer.
    • For the purchase of multiple Standard Adverts, the discount is calculated automatically.
    • For the purchase of several Premium Adverts, please contact us via the contact form. We will be happy to send you an offer.

  16. What is the difference between the PhD/Postdoc job offer and the standard job offer?

    The category "PhD/Postdoc" only applies to PhD or Postdoc positions at a university.

  17. Who are the users of myScience?

    The myScience network has more than 70,000 visitors per month. More than 50% of the users already have a doctorate.

  18. Can I renew my job offer?

    Yes. For half the original price, you can extend the ad again for the same duration. It will then reappear at the top of the list (refresh).

  19. Is there an ad refresh during the ad runtime?

    If you would like an ad refresh during the runtime, please feel free to contact us.

  20. I receive few applications during the runtime, what can I do?

    Contact us, we will look for a solution together.

  21. Will my job offer also be published internationally in the myScience network?

    Yes, your job ad will be published on our international myScience network, depending on the language.
    • English-language offer: Published on the entire myScience network (CH/CA/DE/AT/FR/BE/ES/UK/ORG).
    • German-language offer: Published on the DACH network (DE, AT and CH) and on the international website (org).
    • French-language offer: Published on the French, Canadian, Belgian and Swiss networks, and on the international website (org).

  22. Will my job offer appear in search engines?

    Yes, the ad will appear in the usual search engines, as well as in specialised job search engines.

  23. Can I make subsequent changes to my job offer?


    • To make changes to your premium job offer, simply contact us with your change requests. These are included in the price.
    • For changes to your standard offer, log in, select the offer you want to change under my job offers and click "edit entry".

  24. Can I place several jobs in one job offer?

    Generally, you need one offer for each job. If you are advertising a PhD programme, for example, several disciplines may be grouped together here.

  25. Will my job offer be published in a newsletter?

    Yes, your job offer will be sent in a newsmail to which all registered users can subscribe.

  26. Can I pay by credit card?


    • You can pay with your credit card via Paypal.
    • If you do not have a Paypal account, please contact us via the contact form. We will send you an electronic invoice by e-mail, which you can pay with your credit card.

  27. How long are my purchased credits valid?

    There is no limit to the validity of credits: Only discounts are subject to a validity period. The validity period begins with the publication of the first job offer. If it is not possible to use all credits within one year, remaining credits can be used the following year. In this case, a new agreement will be made.

  28. How is VAT handled?

    Swiss clients pay VAT directly to myScience when they order the credits. Foreign customers pay VAT directly to the relevant authority in their country.

  29. I have not received any applications.

    If you have not received any applications to your job ad, we will extend your job offer free of charge.

  30. Can I place my job offer directly on myScience.org?

    In order to publish a job offer on myScience.org, you must first publish it on one of the national portals. The offer will then automatically be published on myScience.org.
